In collaboration with the Royal Government of Bhutan, the Gross National Happiness Commission coordinates the overall implementation and project overview. The project aspires to ensure that an MDGs based monitoring and evaluation system is integrated into the national monitoring and evaluation system.

Expected Results:

The project aims to: 

  • Build the capacity of the government at central and local level on statistical analysis & usage and local national consultants & programme officials on study methodology;
  • Generate localized socio-economic indicators at dzongkhag and gewog levels to enable addressing equity issues;
  • Support finalization of the new 11th Five Year Plan of the Government;
  • Support the 12 Round Table Meeting of development partners; and
  • Support the formulation of ‘Wellbeing and Happiness: A New Development Paradigm.”
