UNDP and the UN

UNDP and the UN

Guided by our the new UNDP Strategic Plan 2022 -2025, we continue to remain a strong partner in the UN system. As we work with partners across UN system, we draw on each other's complementary strengths and capabilities to dleiver stronger results.

As the lead UN development agency, we strive to deliver coherent and integrated development solutions, driven by country demand, that maximise collective results and impact.

UNDP is the technical lead of UN's socio-economic response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In partnership with the Ministry of Health, and in close collaboration with World Health Organisation and UNICEF, we supported Bhutan in COVID-19 vaccinne deployment. We did so through the development of Bhutan Vaccine System, a digital system that ensured no one was left behind.

UNDP believes that concerted efforts to build partnerships are fundamental for building broad-based consensus, resource mobilization, and effective implementation of programmes for sustainable development in Bhutan. We connect partners to UNDP expertise and experience across country, regional and global teams through the Global Policy Network

Within the UN, UNDP continues to build and expand partnerships with the Royal Government of Bhutan, various UN Agencies, bilateral and multilateral donor agencies, the private sector, the civil society organizations, the media, and the academia for the development, resource mobilization, implementation and monitoring of its supported programmes.
